I had the detailed internal air duct cleaning package for $129. After the technician was done cleaning it, he then stated to me that I needed to clean the overall internal system otherwise cleaning the air duct would be pointless because the internal system would turn dirty again once the furnace is used again. I didn't understand why the technician didn't tackle the root cause before he charged me 129.99 to later tell me his initial work was pointless and I needed to tackle a bigger problem? He quoted me $500 but of course he said he could do it for 250 dollars. He told me that I could skip that job and get the sanitation addition because thats needed. He charged me an extra $225 dollars for the sanitation job. Overall, I spent about $354 dollars. According to my dad the quotes given were really high. Either you negotiate with them for a lower price quote or find another company. Another tip...before authorizing any work done...have them do a root cause analysis of the issue instead of later being informed that you have bigger problems after you've allowed them to charge you for the little problems.
The sanitation job consisted of products such as Oxine, Envirocon, and Nu-Brite. These three products and the service amounted to $225. Doing further research on the internet I found out that the price of Oxine and Nu-Brite were only $25 dollars each! I should have skipped the sanitation job and did the job myself for a fraction of the cost with probably enough solution to spare since it comes in a gallons worth.
I filed a complaint about another situation but they did followup with my complaint. I have switched my rating from 1 star to 2. However, I'm still unsatisfied with the way they approached me which I explained in the first paragraph of the review.
