If I could give 0 stars, I would! Z Ducts lied to me and tried to scare me into having work done on my home that is not necessary.
I could have spent almost $3000 on something that is going to cost me less than $300. I called Z Ducts and asked them to come into my home to clean my air duct system. 2 people came into my home and while one talked with me, the other went into my attic (leaving his dirty fingerprints all over the ceiling cover) to 'get started' on the cleaning job. When I went up with the sales person, there were cuts all over our ducts which the Z Ducts rep. pointed out as "big" issues. The sales person also pointed out several gaps in the ducts that were 'big issues' and a 'serious code violation' which was allowing outside air into my system, which the Z Ducts sales rep said is ‘very, very bad’. I had two other companies out after Z Ducts to evaluate my system and they both said there are no issues with the ducts and no code violation. After Z Ducts were done 'evaluating’ (I felt they were trying to scare me), the rep sat me down with a quote of $2789 to have my ducts completely replaced and the 'code violation' fixed. When I told him I would need to talk with my husband, he asked me – no less than four times - to call him at work so we could move forward right then. When I refused with finality, he then asked me to pay $65 for a dryer cleaning they advertised as free with the cleaning service I originally asked for! I received no less than 4 phone calls over the next 36 hours from Z Ducts pestering me to close the deal which only stopped after I called and told them to stop harassing me.
I would like Z Ducts to stop lying and using aggressive sales tactics. By trying to scare people into paying for services that are not needed, they are preying on emotions. I'm just glad I was smart enough to get additional opinions and did not cave to the tremendous pressure they put on me to work with them to have my entire duct system replaced.
