El Moro Villa at 350 E Palm Cyn Dr in Palm Springs, California was a beautiful and lovely place to live. I resided there for four years when McLean Company Rentals purchased the small apartment complex.
After that purchase, life for me and other tenants was a living hell. The management company refused to make (or were very slow to make) necessary repairs, keep up the landscaping, maintain the Jacuzzi, etc.
We even often went with the common area lights out all night long, making the complex very dangerous as it was pitch black.
Hundreds of emails and phone calls to McLean fell on deaf ears, and when I filed complaints with the local city code enforcement and fair housing organization, McLean evicted me. Unfortunately, despite my 200 pages of documented evidence, the judge sided with McLean.
At the time of my eviction (about 5 years ago), McLean had an F rating with the BBB, but don't be fooled by his improved rating.
When I protested at his business, many clients of his (people who owned properties) and dozens of tenants approached me and shared there poor dealings with Michael McLean and his company, too!
