I recently (3 months ago) bought a motorcycle from Harris Motors. They are the most unprofessional hole in the wall dealership to deal with! My payment is due typically on the 3rd of each month but instead of giving me the usual 10 day grace period, they are hounding me by the 5th to pay the payment. They even go as far as to call my wife off the hook looking for the money. It's ridiculous! My wife has already explained to them that I can't pay until the 10th because that is when I get my big pay check. They seemed ok with it when she was talking with Veronica (the receptionist) but when I spoke to her yesterday she hung up on me. Prior to her hanging up, I asked her what my pay off is and she said "$4,000." I called back and the owner answered the phone. I wanted to ask him what my pay off is and he said "$4500." So really I got 2 different answers from them. Then he changed his mind and said "if you give me $3000 today I will consider it paid off." How can they negotiate what my pay off is? I bought it for $6500 and put $3000 down. I've made 3 payments of $300, which is an additional $900. I've only had it for 3 months. There's no way a finance charge of $1900 has already been accrued. There has to be an exact amount as my payoff. I am so done with this dealership. Their customer service sucks beyond belief and I do not even want to call them anymore. They said I could leave my credit card number with them and they would automatically debit my payment. Although that is convenient, I would not trust them with my dog little lone my credit card numbers.
With all that being said, DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT buy a car, truck, or motorcycle from them. They do not know how to do proper business. I am shocked that they are still in business. I guess people who can lie really well can stay in business.
