I've been a customer of Gaia Online since May 28, 2005. I've watched it grow and evolve and become more than just a forum based website with a "paperdoll" feature. It's been one of my most favorite sites to "hang out" at for years and the sheer amount of features that have been added since my start there have been monumentous and enriching to the overall enjoyment of the site. However, in the past two-three years, Gaia Online has fallen from being something fun and harmless to being something risky and almost dangerous to one's wallet. Customer support has become appallingly lazy and the staff greedy. It is nearly impossible to enjoy the features of the site without first paying real money, and spending real money is a gamble. Purchased items often get changed and decrease in value, without the customer being informed of such changes. Gaia Online should be labeled a GAMBLING website, as the risk of losing money is significantly similar to the risk you place in a game of poker, without the chance of gaining back the money you've spent. All in all, Gaia Online is not a very well run business and should seek assistance in this matter.
