Hi Jim,
You may not remember me, but I was a long time client of Neil’s. My debt was cleared up shortly before Neil passed away. I had promised him since the beginning of the process that once I got all of my debt cleared up and got a mortgage for a house, I would be down to see him with a bottle of champagne to celebrate.
I sit here today, having just closed on my first house, and cannot stop thinking about Neil and his role in this accomplishment. Over the seven or so years I was with Accelerated, he was my advisor, my advocate, my “therapist”, and more importantly, my friend. Without his efforts, I would never have been able to get my mortgage. Since I cannot share my bottle of champagne with him, I wanted you to know that I will be making a donation in his honor. If there is a particular charity this should go to, please let me know. If not, I will donate to either Livestrong or Stand up to Cancer in his honor. I was truly blessed to have been able to work with Neil and I cherish not only what he did for me financially, but his friendship along the way. I would not have been able to do this without him.
I hope all is well with you and I will continue to refer folks to your service. I think what you all do is wonderful.
