Minus 10 stars for "faulty" billing practices I have been dealing with Coram re billing for more months than I can count. They provided infusion supplies for my mother for 6 weeks last spring. They required full payment on delivery. They were paid the invoice amount each time they delivered supplies. We have since been billed an additional $689. The explanations are bs. In addition when I found that medicare etc denied claims for any payment, I again spoke to their contact (about the 6th time) and asked about medicare and requested detailed statements of what supplies were delivered with charges. Since I am appealing medicare's decision I need details. He sent me only a portion of the itemized bills. I've called twice and left voicemail with my request for the rest of the detailed invoices. I also found that they had submitted bills to medicare for many many times the amount my mom was billed. I don't know when I'll have this completed. Fighting for what one needs is a full time job and I have a job. It should also be noted that they delivered substantially more supplies than needed and would not take back any unopened supplies. So we paid for things that weren't needed. A friend was also billed by Coram for supplies she told them not to deliver - and when they attempted to still deliver these supplies, she would not accept them. They demanded $200 for these supplies. Financially this company plays serious games with patients and insurance. Someone should hold them accountable. I do not plan on giving up - something I'm sure they count on ...
