Americor is a scam. Don't trust your friendly Account Rep. Make sure you read EVERY line of what you are signing because they will lie and mislead you. I was told on the phone that I would be out of debt in 2 years by paying close to $1K per month for 24 months. I now should have had 2 more payments left and they just extended it an additional 9 months without even notifying me. I just happened to stumble across the change when looking at my account last week. A few weeks ago, it had not changed but it had now all of a sudden. And of course, when I called to inquire, they insisted that the paperwork states that it's an ESTIMATED program length, although that's definitely not what was communicated to me verbally.
